Learn what some of our past brides & grooms had to say about their wedding experience at Migis Lodge...
"Three of the guests TOLD me, when they walked in last night after having been here for the lobster bake, they told me “they totally transformed this place!” It is a fairyland.
Migis was just….I don’t know if I had any preconceptions…it was the most physically and emotionally beautiful wedding. Yes, I know it was my daughter’s wedding but everybody said it was the most beautiful wedding they’d ever been to. I don’t know how you can top this.
I don’t think there was anything that I possibly would ask you all to do differently! I mean nothing! This was my daughter’s wedding and it was absolutely perfect.
A number of people had never been to Maine. We stayed in a beautiful cabin; the accommodations are phenomenal. The art, the quilts, the linens! Whoever is buying has impeccable taste. That red leather couch in Cliffside!"
"We went to college in Boston, and spent a lot of weekends in Maine. It was when we started looking at photographers’ work in Maine that we came across a Migis wedding….and when we came to look, we knew immediately that This Was It.
We love the Migis tradition of the Tykona ride.
And one of our favorite early pictures was one you sent of the reception hall. No one was sitting; literally everyone was up dancing, and that’s exactly what we were hoping for.
When you get here, it’s even more peaceful and beautiful than in pictures. It was easy to organize via email and phone after our visit there. And special memories? Honestly; everything. It surpassed our expectations across the board. We’re so thankful that everything worked out so perfectly."
We knew we wanted to get married on a lake, and have all our friends come like we were at summer camp together. Migis was the first place we looked at on line, and we were sold. We booked, then we came to look.
One of my favorite moments (Mark…but Kat missed it!) was everyone having bag lunches Saturday in the lodge, and just coming back from activities so they had fishing poles, and tennis rackets, and were playing games in front of the fire. It was awesome. And one of mine (Kat) was toward the end of the night when Mark and I went out to the terrace in front and danced our first dance again under the lights. And then we could look back (Mark) into the lodge and see everyone dancing, and hear the sounds and see the lights and just take it in, together. All our people, all there for us.
