Movement Classes

These classes are offered weekday mornings in the summertime (Saturdays only after Labor Day) either lakeside on the Petunia Terrace or inside Boulders, our all-weather recreation room.  Lead by local professionals, these classes are for all abilities and help rejuvenate your body while you enjoy the gently lapping waves and gorgeous views across Sebago.

Tai Chi – Learn simple movements from ancient Chinese systems that help create physical rejuvenation and detoxification, mental clarity, emotional wellbeing and spiritual fulfillment.  Go home with a healthy body, mind, and soul.

Chinese Yoga – Similar to Tai Chi, this involves additional stretching, breathing, and flexibility exercises.

Pilates Core – This class is designed for all ages and abilities.  Start with gentle movement to warm up, then down to the mat for floor (or grass!) work.  Exercises flow easily from one to the next strengthening each body part as we go. Modifications are offered throughout the class to accommodate various fitness levels.

Pilates Stretch – A similar class to Pilates Core, but the emphasis will be on lengthening the muscles and opening the body through fluid movement and extension.

Zumba – Zumba fuses hypnotic Latin rhythms and easy to follow moves to create a dynamic fitness program that will blow you away.  You will leave this class energized, humming your new favorite song, and looking forward to your next day.

Body Sculpting – Have fun and workout to music while you create strength, endurance, and flexibility for your entire body.  All fitness levels are welcome – we can make it work for you! Start a new you, or keep on keeping on with an old program.
