Oh, to be a kid at Migis Lodge. Of any age!

In the first place, there’s my comfy bed.  And then on the way to breakfast, I can pick a couple of my own blueberries.  And then, I can go right up and get my own breakfast or order from the nice lady or man who waits on us.  And while I’m waiting, I can go pat Sophie!  Or go visit Deets at the front desk!  Sometimes, just sometimes, she talks to me.  She’s an African Grey parrot and she’s a teenager so she knows lots of words.

I can have my lunch at cookout with other kids and do lots of fun things with the Kid Camp crowd, all the way to five o’clock.  We swim, and run around the playground, and do tie-dye and games, and have scavenger hunts……………sometimes we get a boat ride on the Tykona to the candy store.  How great is that!  Or sometimes I just go for part of the afternoon so I can hang out with my family some and with the other Migis kids some.  And my waterskiing is getting better every summer!

When I was little, back when I was five and even before, I always ate dinner in the zoo and went off afterwards to play with the sitters.  Sometimes, I still do!  So I don’t have to, you know, sort of sit still and behave myself in the dining room.  But sometimes I like that too!  I get a little dressed up, like a nice restaurant, and feel quite grown up.  Other nights, just play clothes and dinner with the kids.  It’s so fun to have all these choices!  Why don’t you come try it?

more fun!

Kids 5 and over can enjoy our Summertime Children’s Activity Program, with activities changing daily and including games, crafts, sports, picnics, swimming, field trips, storytelling and treasure hunts. At night, parents can choose to eat dinner at their leisure while the kids enjoy our “Zoo” program, with a special children’s menu in the Family Dining Room and supervised playtime. Both of these programs are, of course, at no additional charge.
