Two notable silver anniversaries at Migis Lodge!

Green Camp, the original Main Lodge at Migis, was converted into Gray Gull I and II in 1986.  Hard to believe it’s been that long since this big winter project.  Have a look at it, up on risers!

“someone told me it’s all happening at the zoo.
I do believe it.  I do believe it’s true.”

With appreciation to Simon and Garfunkel, all you babies sit up and take notice.  That same year is the one when Tim said “That’s it!  We have a new plan!  And we’re not waiting……..we start tonight!”  And the Zoo was born.  We rounded up a couple of babysitters, the kitchen prepared some kid-friendly food, and all guests five years of age and under were invited to their own private dining and entertainment experience.  They met in the staff dining room (already lovingly referred to as The Zoo) were they could make all the mess and noise they liked, then went out to play while their parents relaxed and enjoyed their dinner.  What a successful idea that has been!  If only we could recall exactly which over-exuburant child sparked Tim to action.  We’ve had such fun over the years!

Kids, be sure and remind your folks to call for reservations.  And maybe you should bring them along!
