“Brilliant Accidents, Necessary Failures, and Improbable Breakthroughs”

No, not ours.  Just back from serving at–and observing from the sidelines–Poptech, a fascinating annual event in Camden, Maine.  Our sister properties The Inn at Ocean’s Edge and The Inn at Camden Place were pleased to be among those providing lodging.  And some of us here at Migis loaded up the caravan and headed north with platters of delicacies.

Last Friday, as the full moon shimmered over Penobscot Bay, the The Edge Restaurant was honored again (third time!) to be the venue for the annual Poptech Speakers’ Dinner.  Poptech is an annual conference where the best and brightest gather to network and discuss issues facing local and global communities.  The collective staffs of The Edge Restaurant and Migis gathered to provide service and food for the grand event.  Under the moonlight, revellers gathered enjoying the jazz stylings of the Bel-Isle Trio while sampling hors d’oeuvres showcasing the culinary talents of chef John Strain’s crew.  Pictured here are John, Anthony, Casey and Brittany with their sushi (shrimp, oysters, salmon and tuna) and pastry chef Charity’s signature cookies, eclairs, pecan bars and chocolate covered strawberries.  Just beyond view are beef tenderloin, ham and turkey being handcarved for finger sandwiches.  Another successful road trip (and is that Jesse I see?) for our Migis Hotel Group team!
