The first day of spring, and you can really start to feel it–even here in Maine. The fact that Sebago Lake is still frozen hard with a foot of snow on it doesn’t fool us…the days are getting longer, the sunset is moving north on the horizon of the White Mountains, and the beautiful blue water will be lapping the shores in less than a month. Boats will be on the lake within an hour after “ice out,” with swimming and waterskiing soon to follow.
Today we walked the Migis property and could hear the woods coming alive with sounds of spring. We stopped at Ledges, our newest cottage, to see how far the mason had gotten on building the 32-foot fieldstone fireplace–wow! What a work of art! We are lucky to have the so many fine craftsmen who help us provide the quality that we strive for in all aspects of the Migis Experience. We can’t wait for this season!

Yesterday we ran into a Migis guest in Portland who comes every year for a large family reunion. She told us that their family had just been to the Caribbean and were about to go to Florida, but all the kids kept talking about was how they couldn’t wait for their Migis vacation. A great compliment…thank you Jane!
