Winter was a mite confused this year. Here I sit, a week into spring, looking out at a snow covered field. Last week a ride around Maine’s Lakes Region would have netted you sightings of bicyclists in shorts, kids wading into beach edges with sheets of ice still within yards of the shore, daffodils and lilies poking up looking a bit surprised at their earliness. 80s! We had 80s in Maine, in March, for three days! Out came the rakes and brooms for a few days of spring cleaning.
Back to snow today, perhaps the last of the year. Before winter is really over, I always like to take a ride around shotgun in the plow truck. Come along, and see how some of your favorite spots at Migis look at this time of year. It’s a different kind of beauty!
